London Perrantes will miss Virginia’s game at Ohio State after having his appendix removed

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Starting point guard London Perrantes will miss No. 10 Virginia’s game at Ohio State on Tuesday night after undergoing an appendectomy on Sunday, the school announced Tuesday.

The junior’s status for Friday’s home game against William and Mary is yet to be determined.

Perrantes is one of three players to have started all of Virginia’s six games, along with forward Anthony Gill and guard Malcolm Brogdon, and leads the team with 5.3 assists per game. Perrantes dished out a season-high 11 assists in the Charleston Classic championship game against George Mason on Nov.
