Former Virginia star Kyle Guy got his first career start for the Sacramento Kings as part of the California Classic in the NBA Summer League. The Kings took down the Golden State Warriors in a close-fought game, 81-77. After a slow start that included a couple turnovers right off the bat, Guy settled in for a solid game.
Guy finished with 10 points, connecting on two threes (in five attempts), going 4-for-7 from the field and adding two rebounds and an assist. He did have four turnovers in his 23 minutes of play, but finished with the third best +/- on the team.
