In the Virginia Cavaliers’ 68-52 beating of Coppin State, Kadin Shedrick impressed in relatively limited minutes as the redshirt sophomore recorded his first career double double with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks on the evening.
There was one sequence in particular when Shedrick came from the weak side to block a shot, dove into the crowd to save the ball from going out of bounds, and then grabbed an offensive rebound and flushed a dunk on the other end. That type of play is what is so exciting about Shedrick’s potential.
But, for Tony Bennett, some of that improved play and new-found aggressiveness actually came in Tuesday’s loss to Houston.
