Second year forward Justin McKoy became the latest player for the Virginia men’s basketball team to enter the transfer portal, joining teammates Casey Morsell and Jabri Abdur-Rahim in the last few days. McKoy announced his decision on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon:
Every ACC school except FSU and Georgia Tech have had at least one player enter the transfer portal this offseason, which was expected on some level following the pandemic-affected 2020-21 season. The NCAA is allowing for a one-time, no sit waiver, meaning players that transfer will not have to sit out the mandatory year previously required before playing.
