The hype about an updated Virginia Cavaliers offense seems to be real!
At ACC Media Tipoff in Charlotte on Thursday morning, UVA’s Tony Bennett, Isaac McKneely, and Taine Murray discussed expectations for the upcoming 2024-25 season including notes on how the Wahoo offense will be different this year.
Coming off a 2023-24 campaign when Virginia finished 200th in offensive efficiency (per KenPom) and struggled to score the ball, changes were obviously necessary to modernize the program’s offensive scheme. Evidently, the ‘Hoos will roll out an adjusted offense this season.
“You can expect a hard gritty defensive team like we always are,” McKneely assured, before adding that “I think you can expect a different type of offense this year.
