The Virginia Cavaliers suffered their sixth loss of the season in frustrating fashion as the Louisville Cardinals left JPJ with the 70-50 win on Saturday. Familiar problems plagued the ‘Hoos throughout the game from poor rebounding that allowed the Cards’ to get easy second chance points to UVA’s inability to shoot the three.
After hanging tough in the first half and only being down five at the break, the ‘Hoos were in position with an opportunity to potentially put together another thrilling second half performance like they did against NC State but the lack of shot making and poor transition defense took the air out of the JPJ crowd.
