The 2024-25 Virginia Cavaliers will have plenty of new faces on the floor come November 6th. A new head coach, five incoming transfers, and two true freshmen help make up this year’s team. True freshman Ishan Sharma is one of the more intriguing pieces on this year’s roster. Hailing from Canada, the 6-foot-5 guard is a versatile shooter who can stretch defenses well-beyond the three-point line with confidence.
There have been a handful of true freshmen to play and contribute early in the last 15 years. Guys like Joe Harris, London Perrantes, Kihei Clark, and Kyle Guy had some of the more memorable starts to their careers at the guard position.
