Two of Tony Bennett’s big three–forward De’Andre Hunter and point guard Ty Jerome–were selected in the first round of the 2019 NBA draft on Thursday night. The duo is the ‘Hoos first ever pair of first-round picks in the same draft (big year for making history, huh) and Hunter went as the highest pick in Virginia history behind the legend himself, Ralph Sampson. The third star of this year’s national championship team, Kyle Guy, went late in the second round, marking the first time in the two-round era of the draft that UVA has had three players selected.
