Andrew Rohde’s playing time was the most contentious topic surrounding Virginia Cavaliers men’s basketball in the 2023-24 season. Despite inefficient shooting and at times limited playmaking, former head coach Tony Bennett started him in 27 games last season. He averaged 25.2 minutes per game, good for 4th on the team.
At around 8:00 PM on every Tuesday or Wednesday (halftime of UVA games), tension would build in living rooms (at least in my living room) throughout the greater Charlottesville area as friends and family debated whether or not Rohde should be getting a bit more comfortable on the bench.
