It didn't look good (again), but UVa wins and is going back to Omaha!
For the fourth time since 2009, the College World Series will have a team from Charlottesville competing.
It looked great in the beginning as UVa took a 2-1 lead after the first.
Brandon Waddell pitched a hell of a game, but surrendered four runs over his 8 innings and left the game with UVa trailing 4-2.
Fortunately, the Maryland pitching staff faulted them down the stretch and UVa was able to take advantage.
In the 9th, Pavin Smith walked to kick the inning off.
