In a sharp contrast to what Virginia Cavaliers fans have come to dread when the Hoos play on the road, U.Va. got out to a fast start and staked themselves to a 15-point halftime lead, 29-14.
Virginia's scoring came in a balanced effort. No player was in double digits, as Malcolm Brogdon was the leading scorer with 8. Anthony Gill was the team's leading rebounder with three, but sat for the final two-plus minutes with two fouls.
Louisville's leading scorer is Quentin Snider with 7, who was also the only Louisville scorer for the 11 minutes of the game.
