At the half in Charlottesville, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets hold a 14-10 lead over Virginia.
The Hoos scored first, knocking in a field goal after an offensive possession that started in Georgia Tech territory. Safety Wil Wahee scooped up a Jackets' fumble and ran it back to the Tech 18 yard line. Although the offense couldn't punch the ball in the end zone, Ian Frye opened the scoring with the field goal.
Georgia Tech took the 14-10 lead in the second quarter on a third-down pass from QB Justin Thomas to back Clinton Lynch. Thomas rolled right as the Hoos brought pressure, then pivoted quickly to hit a wide-open Lynch who had leaked out to the left over the middle.
