After suffering a heartbreaking 12-10 loss to Syracuse last week, Virginia Cavaliers men’s lacrosse didn’t have the legs to keep up with UNC’s high-octane offense on Saturday.
The North Carolina Tar Heels jumped out to a 4-0 lead within the first 10 minutes, but the ‘Hoos quickly responded with a three goal run before the end of the first quarter. Both sides combined for 10 goals in the second quarter with UNC holding a 10-7 lead at halftime. However, Virginia’s offense was almost completely shut down in the second half and the Tar Heels finished on a 11-2 run.
