The Virginia Cavaliers women’s basketball team bounced back from Thursday’s loss to California with a commanding 89-69 win over the Stanford Cardinal on Sunday evening. In what was the final game of Virginia’s home schedule, the ’Hoos took an early 8-0 lead and never let go in a dominant wire-to-wire victory.
The Cavaliers improved to 14-14 (6-10 ACC) with the win and secured a winning home record (9-8) for the third consecutive season since Coach Mox arrived in Charlottesville.
