Former Cavalier Tyler Wilson Signs with Korean Baseball Team LG Twins

The LG Twins, of the South Korean Baseball League announced on Friday that former UVa and Baltimore Oriole pitcher Tyler Wilson has signed with the club on a one year deal worth $800,000.

After being drafted in the 10th round by the Baltimore Orioles in 2011, Wilson has spent the last three years between Baltimore and Norfolk, the Orioles’ AAA team. In those three seasons, he has amassed an 8-10 record and 5.02 ERA in 42 appearances.

Most reading this will almost certainly remember the 2011 Lowe’s Senior Class Award winner for his 27-7 record over his 4 years in Charlottesville.
