Following last Friday’s 95-51 loss at now No. 9 Oklahoma, the Virginia Cavaliers women’s basketball team responded with an emphatic 83-41 victory over Radford on Wednesday evening inside John Paul Jones Arena.

Virginia responded well after a disappointing loss

The ’Hoos took one on the chin on Friday in Norman, Oklahoma, falling to the Sooners by 44 points. But rather than hang their heads, Coach Mox’s Cavaliers responded well inside JPJ on Wednesday, hitting the gas pedal right from the opening tip.

Virginia began the game on a 10-3 run, sparked by a pair of buckets from each member of its starting backcourt — Kymora Johnson and Paris Clark, jumping out to a 15-point lead by the end of the opening quarter.
