FINAL: Virginia stuns Wake Forest, 72-71

It took all forty minutes for Virginia to get its first road win, but it came in one heckuva fashion.

Darius Thompson hit his only shot of the night as time expired, banking in a three to lift Virginia from a 71-69 deficit to a 72-71 win. The Hoos improved to 5-3 in ACC play, while Wake Forest dropped to 1-7.

Malcolm Brogdon set a new career high with 28 points, and added 7 rebounds as well. Anthony Gill scored 17 for Virginia, and fouled out with 28 seconds remaining. London Perrantes had a very quiet game, missing both of his threes in the first half and going 0-for-3 for the game.
