Marial Shayok led a balanced offensive effort for the Virginia Cavaliers as they held off the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in Charlottesville, 62 to 49.
Shayok’s 19 points set the pace for UVA, with Devon Hall adding 10 more. Hall has now scored in double figures in six of the Cavaliers’ last seven games. Josh Okogie led Tech with 14.
Jack Salt did a masterful job shutting down the Jackets’ impact big man and leading scorer, Ben Lammers. Coming into the game, Lammers averaged almost 15 points per game.
