NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Virginia coach Bronco Mendenhall called the whole situation surrounding Saturday's game against Ohio "weird." Despite the obstacles and weirdness Hurricane Florence created for his team, Mendenhall will gladly take the 45-31 victory.
After all, it isn't normal to travel 545 miles from Charlottesville, Va., to Nashville to play a "home" game. But that was the situation created when it was decided Tuesday afternoon to move the game.
"The whole thing is weird," Mendenhall said. "Not knowing whether we were going to play was weird, not knowing where we were going to play was weird.
