Virginia Cavaliers wide receiver Malik Washington was a lone bright spot amidst a tough stretch for the program. In his only season in Charlottesville, Washington was a second-team all-American on most platforms, recording a program-record 1,426 receiving yards on 110 catches. He recorded at least 100 yards in ten out of his twelve games played.
Simply put, the Northwestern transfer did nothing but produce. After his prized collegiate season, Washington continued to raise eyebrows throughout showcases and in the combine, where he led the way with a 42.5 inch vertical jump. His stock continues to rise, as a result.
