Finally, some good news. Virginia’s redshirt first year De’Andre Hunter underwent wrist surgery today to repair a fracture that he sustained during the semifinals of the ACC tournament.
He tweeted this Monday afternoon:
That’s obviously a great sign for the Hoos as he will be instrumental in next season’s success. Hunter finished fourth on the team in scoring with 9.2 points and 3.5 rebounds per game and shot 49% from the field and 38% from three for the season.
With the graduation of Isaiah Wilkins, Devon Hall, and graduate transfer Nigel Johnson, Hunter is expected to start next season and see significant playing time.
