The Virginia Cavaliers football team added its 17th commit and fifth defensive back to their 2025 recruiting class on Saturday when Corey Costner announced his commitment on X. The 6 foot 185-pound Costner was ranked as the 78th athlete in the country and 33rd player in Maryland, but will join the Hoos as a cornerback.

The three-star is the third highest-rated recruit in Virginia’s class behind safety Davin Chandler and cornerback Christopher Spence.
