The Virginia Cavaliers are in the midst of bowl prep for the first time in six years, using the extra practice time to get younger players ready for the future. Another big piece of that future fell into place today, as the Hoos landed their possible 2018 starting quarterback: Bryce Perkins from Arizona Western.
Perkins—the younger brother of New York Giants running back Paul Perkins—enrolled at Arizona State in 2016 out of Chandler (Ariz.) High School, rated as a top-20 dual-threat quarterback nationally for his class. A 247Sports Composite three-star, Perkins picked ASU over Arizona, UCLA, and Northwestern.
