The Virginia Cavaliers added a cornerstone for the program’s future on Saturday with a commitment from South Carolina dual-threat quarterback LaNorris Sellers.
Sellers is a 6’3, 215-pound rising junior and the Hoos’ first commit for the class of 2023. He isn’t rated yet by 247 or Rivals, but chose UVA over offers from Virginia Tech, Washington State, Appalachian State, and Georgia State.
The South Florence product threw for almost 1,100 yards and 12 touchdowns as a sophomore, with another 600-plus yards and 11 more scores rushing. He is a three-sport standout, excelling in basketball and soccer as well as on the gridiron.
