The pundits will talk until they’re blue in the face during the preseason about quarterback battles, how an offensive line will hold up, and how many sacks a defense will get. But let’s not forget where football games are truly won and lost, where legends are made, and where kickers are handed sole responsibility for the outcome of a 60-minute game — special teams.
With that being said, the Virginia Cavaliers have a couple reliable veteran legs who will be booting the football this fall to go along with a new and improved return group. While question marks define much of the offense and defense, at least the special teams unit figures to be reliable.
