The Virginia Cavaliers outlasted a feisty Florida State Seminoles squad on Saturday, defending Scott Stadium with a 31-24 victory to advance to 3-0, including 2-0 in ACC play. Despite trailing for much of the game Saturday, the Hoos put together 21 points in the fourth quarter to complete the comeback, a feat that was not without drama and heroics.
Behind both the drama and the heroics was senior quarterback Bryce Perkins, who threw a season-high 40 passes, completing a season-high 75% of them. He threw for one touchdown and unfortunately two interceptions, but it was his dexterity and acrobatics in the two-point conversion that really stood out.
