AND. You’ll be hearing that a lot this season coming out of the Virginia Cavaliers football team, as it’s become one of the core tenets of this year’s team under head coach Bronco Mendenhall. At Saturday’s celebration of life in honor of the late Virginia football head coach George Welsh, Mendenhall was asked to say a few words.
“Integrity and winning,” Mendenhall said on Saturday. “The ‘and’ in between is also one of our core tenets. If you ever hear one of our players say ‘and,’ if you trace wherethat’s coming from, that’s coming from George Welsh—that you can do both.
