BREAKING: Ryan Odom will be UVA basketball’s next head coach per CBS Sports

VCU head coach Ryan Odom has signed a contract to be the Virginia Cavaliers’ next head basketball coach, per CBS Sports’ Matt Norlander. Norlander added that UVA is expected to announce the news officially on Saturday with a press conference coming on Monday.

Odom, whose season ended on Thursday when the Rams lost to BYU in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, is the son of former Virginia assistant Dave Odom who was a member of Terry Holland’s staff from 1982 through 1989.
