The ACC’s success in recruiting this summer is certainly impressive. But the retention of veteran talent is of note as well. Some of the top teams in the conference seem to successfully combine rosters of key leaders alongside highly touted rookies and transfers.
Among the rest of the elite, and especially among the rest of the ACC, the Cavaliers perhaps have the greatest advantage when it comes to veteran leadership. The two highlights here are Anthony Gill and Malcolm Brogdon. Gill transferred to Virginia after a year of play at South Carolina State.
