Whether coming out of their rookie season or transferring from another program, redshirt players are not uncommon in the ACC, as in any conference. During their season spent off the court, much of what redshirt players have to offer is kept in the dark. As these players have now spent sufficient time to determine their roles within each team, it is a convenient time to evaluate the top redshirts in the ACC.
Unlike the others on this list, Salt has been untested on the court in college basketball so he is more of an unknown.
