After renewing a long-standing rivalry last weekend, the Virginia Cavaliers prepare for a matchup that has never been played before. This Saturday, the ‘Hoos will travel to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for their first ever meeting with Coastal Carolina.
The Chanticleers are off to a 3-0 start, impressively blowing out Jacksonville State (55-27), taking care of FCS opponent William & Mary (40-21), and then, less emphatically beating a bad Temple team (28-20). This will easily be Coastal’s biggest challenge to date, as UVA sits as a 3.5 point favorite.
The biggest note about this game from a national perspective is that an ACC team is playing a program from the Sun Belt on the road.
