I have always loved March Madness. In 1989, when I was 16, I won my first NCAA tourney pool. My dad was a college professor and his office had a bracket pool where the winning prize was a large jar of pennies. I was a huge Big East fan and for some reason I loved Glen Rice and Michigan, which led me to predict an improbable Michigan/Seton Hall finals.
That was the last NCAA pool that I've won.
I feel like the more I know about college basketball the worse I do in my brackets, but I do find the dichotomy of brackets and gambling on games to be a fascinating subject.
