VILLANOVA, Pa. -- Carlos Washington had 179 yards rushing and two touchdowns and quarterback Trevor Knight ran for two scores to help New Hampshire beat Villanova 34-0 on Saturday.
Knight was 13-of-23 passing for 158 yards and the New Hampshire defense limited Villanova to 164 total yards, including just 13 rushing.
Washington, on the first play from scrimmage, took a handoff and raced 75 yards for a touchdown. Knight scored on an 11-yard run with 6:10 left in the first half and, after a Villanova (3-5, 0-5 Colonial Athletic Association) fumble, Washington's 16-yard TD run gave UNH (2-6, 1-4) a 24-0 lead one minute, 32 seconds later.
