On Saturday night, the Villanova Wildcats were very productive. It raised a championship banner at the Wells Fargo Center, welcomed back former assistant coach Baker Dunleavy, and dispatched the Quinnipiac Bobcats in a lopsided 86-53 victory.
The Wildcats started the game off hot from opening tip, dashing out to an 18-3 lead to start. From there, Villanova maintained its lead all-throughout, and it was never in doubt. The Wildcats took a 47-20 lead at the break, and was able to push their lead to as high as 37 at one point in the second half.
