Villanova falls to sharp shooting Creighton team, 86-70

Saturday’s top 25-ranked Big East matchup between Villanova and Creighton lived up to the hype, but it didn’t go Villanova’s way. The ‘Cats were outshot by the Blue Jays and went on to lose 86-70. It looked as if no one could have beat the Blue Jays today with the shooting they had.

Villanova’s defense was no match for Creighton’s excellent shooting all over the floor. The ‘Cats struggled to find a rhythm when shots were not falling.

For Creighton, Marcus Zegarowski had a team-high 25 points. Mitch Ballock chipped in 20 points, while Christian Bishop and Damien Jefferson had 16 and 10 points respectively.
