The Villanova Wildcats found themselves in a knock-down, Philly street fight Tuesday night as they escaped the Palestra and the La Salle Explorers 89-79. Nova pulled away in the second half, with as much as 13 point lead. But La Salle battled back to bring the game within 4 points in the final minute. The Cats were able to put this one away at the line, but the game was much closer than the final score would indicate.
Jalen Brunson had his best game of the season, scoring 26 points and adding 3 assists. Josh Hart added 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists while Mikal Bridges would add 16 on an efficient 6-8 shooting, 2-3 from behind the arc.
