After two straight seasons with season-ending hip surgeries, Tim Delaney came into the 2017-2018 season as healthy as someone with three hip surgeries in two years could be. This season he acted as almost the precursor to the bench-mob, coming in games when the Wildcats had a large lead. He logged a total of 49 minutes this season coming in off the bench and made appearances in 21 total games, including 4 games of ‘Nova’s Championship run (Radford, Alabama, Kansas, Michigan). He grabbed 5 rebounds in total this season, and made a three-pointer in the round of 32 matchup against Alabama.
