Things went as well as they could in Villanova's conference opener; now the 'Cats take their show on the road.
The 365th day of the year has been kind to Villanova since the new Big East launched. The Wildcats opened Big East conference play with a startling 31-point margin of victory over sixth-ranked Xavier on New Years Eve. Now the Wildcats will travel to Omaha for their first road test of 2016, against a Bluejays team that is also 1-0 in conference play (10-4 overall) after a Thursday win over St. John's.
Surely, the quick turnaround hampered the Wildcats' New Years' Eve party plans, but Creighton had a similar travel arrangement to get their home court ready for the Big East favorites.
