On Wednesday night at the Finneran Pavilion, the Villanova Wildcats took on the Marquette Golden Eagles in Big East regular season play. Last time out, on Dec. 23, the Wildcats downed the Golden Eagles with a dominant second half performance and the same happened again.
Coach Jay Wright’s Wildcats scored a season-high 96 points over Steve Wojciechowski and Marquette’s 64. As Coach Jay said in his post game conference, “it was just one of those nights,” referring to his team’s successful shooting night from both inside and beyond the arc. The ‘Cats had contributors all over the court and was defensively pretty solid throughout.
