Jay Wright and the 2016 Villanova Wildcats were honored today in the East Room of the White House.
It was a standing-room crowd in the White House's historic East Room this afternoon as the 2016 Villanova Wildcats filed into the front of the room to booming applause. Then, the President of the United States -- Barack Obama -- followed them out, to honor their achievements as a team.
"I guess it is the blue and white house today because we're giving it up for the 2016 NCAA Champion Villanova Wildcats!"
The room was filled with Villanova VIPs, members of congress, press, and a few others who managed to work their way into the mix.
