The Wildcats have received a signed letter of intent from Owen Thomas, a 6-foot-4 player that served as tight end and linebacker at North Penn (Pa.).

At Villanova, however, it appears that Mark Ferrante will opt to use the two-way star at the linebacker position, where he was a first team all-conference pick. According to 247 sports, he is a two-star prospect and is the only other player besides Mikey Taylor that comes to Villanova ranked.

Thomas was a highly sought after prospect, having held offers from UCF, Bowling Green, FIU, UMass, Air Force and Army at the FBS level and James Madison, Delaware and Youngstown State at the FCS level, among others—before verbally committing to Villanova back in August.
