Jon Rothstein continues to stoke the UConn-Big East fire, this morning reporting that the Big East (to really no surprise) would take the Connecticut Huskies in for all sports other than football.
And they’re actively talking!
“The Big East would take UConn in everything, but they need to resolve what they’re going to do with football,” one source said. “That’s the only thing that’s standing in the way of a marriage.”
This really shouldn’t come as any surprise, and as we discussed ad nauseum the last time smoke went up, the Huskies’ football program is the big obstacle.
