A rare Friday night home game at the Wells Fargo Center is in the cards, with last season’s Big East regular season champions in town.
Xavier was expected to take a step back after losing talismans Trevon Bluiett and J.P. Macura as well as head coach Chris Mack to Louisville. Even so, the fanbase probably didn’t expect this type of rebuild with the talent on the roster.
Villanova has had their share of struggles too but appears to be rounding into form after a 4-0 start to the conference schedule. A win on Friday night would further cement the notion that the Big East still runs through the Main Line.
