Sunday afternoon’s matchup between Villanova and Seton Hall will have two teams heading in opposite directions. After a sluggish start to the season, Villanova has ripped off 7-straight wins and is the only unbeaten team left in the Big East.
Meanwhile, Seton Hall has lost 3 straight after an impressive non-conference performance (and even a decent start to Big East play). Last Saturday’s loss to DePaul in which they surrendered 97 points was particularly ugly.
But with a week off Kevin Willard won’t be able to complain about the schedule and - in theory - should have his team prepared to end a 25-year losing streak at ‘Nova.
