Fresh off a bye week, the Villanova Wildcats will welcome the Elon Phoenix and old friend Tony Trisciani to Villanova Stadium. Trisciani left in the offseason to take the defensive coordinator job, and his unit’s performance is the big reason why the Phoenix are 6-1 entering Saturday’s Top-25 matchup.
Villanova had an extra week to recover following the loss at #1 James Madison, and they’ll surely have used a lot of that time to prep freshman QB Kyle McCloskey. He’ll be making his first career start after relieving Jack Schetelich in Harrisonburg, and showed some promise moving the ball.
