It wasn't a good week to be a Top 10 ranked team. In the past seven days, #1 Kansas, #3 Maryland, #4 Michigan St, #8 Miami, and #9 Duke all lost. Some of them twice. Across that time span, Villanova defeated a pesky Marquette squad at home and won in DC against rival Georgetown. Those two wins with the other losses across the nation have propelled the Wildcats to #4 in the newest AP Poll.
Oklahoma, who Villanova lost to in Hawaii back in December is the newest #1 in the nation. North Carolina, Kansas, and Xavier round out the Top 5.
