The Villanova Wildcats held on in their second straight Big 5 contest at the Finneran Pavilion to take down the Penn Quakers 80-69.
Sophomore Saddiq Bey led the way with 27 points, six rebounds, and two assists in 33 minutes. Freshman Justin Moore also added 17 points on 7-13 shooting.
Saddiq Bey was the go to guy for Villanova in the early going, scoring their first six points including going a quick 4-4 from the foul line. That helped the Wildcats get out to a quick 6-3 lead but the Quakers, especially senior guard Ryan Betley, started to make their presence felt.
