Every weekday, you see VU Hoops' link roundup entitled The Sun's Arizin'. It's a play on starting a new day as well as the last name of arguably Villanova's greatest basketball player ever- Paul Arizin.
And yes we know, Arizin(g) and Arizin are not even pronounced similarly.
Arizin, who played three seasons as a Wildcat from 1947 thru 1950 was the University's first 1,000 point scorer and earned National Player of the Year honors in 1950.
He later went on to play 12 years in the NBA for the Philadelphia Warriors where he was a 10-time All-Star and World Champion in 1956.
