Following Villanova’s first loss of the season to Virginia Tech, the Wildcats (2-1) have fallen to #12 in the newest AP Poll released on Monday. The ‘Cats also grabbed victories over Boston College and #25 Arizona State last week in Bubbleville.
Gonzaga tallied 57 of the 63 votes for the #1 spot as Baylor grabbed the remaining six to be ranked second. Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois round out the Top 5.
Duke, Kansas, Michigan State, the BIG EAST’s Creighton, and Houston round out the Top 10.
Villanova was ranked outside of the Top 10 for twelve weeks last season.
