The Villanova Wildcats have proven time and time again that they are a second half team, and Friday night was no different.
In a back-and-forth game—that had the West Virginia Mountaineers up by six with 11:08 left in the contest—the Wildcats came back to take control of the game, holding their opponents off the rest of the way.
Villanova downed West Virginia, 90-78, to advance the Elite Eight matchup against the winner between the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Purdue Boilermakers.
Jalen Brunson was a bright spot for the Wildcats for all 40 minutes of the game, racking up a game-high 27 points.
